For the past 23 years, APLF - MM&T has served as the trade platform for those in the leather industry to get the latest information, to find the best trading partners, to share successful experiences and,......meet up with old friends.
Covering 28,000 square metres at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the major feature of the fair will be group pavilions from 19 countries and regions highlighting APLF - MM&T's international reputation. For the first time, the fair will host an Egyptian Pavilion. Other pavilions from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Pakistan, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, the UK and the USA.
New horizons for buyers
APLF - MM&T has attracted 58 first-time exhibitors (as of 8 January 2008), bringing an injection of fresh interest for buyers, the vast majority of whom have attended APLF - MM&T for many years. The new exhibitors are in a number of sectors: hides & skins, tanning machinery, man-made leathers, synthetic & natural materials, technology, particularly for components & accessories, and semi-finished & finished leathers. Almost half of them are from China, which reaffirms the position of APLF - MM&T as an international meeting point for East and West.
Concurrent events
APLF - MM&T runs concurrently, and in the same venue, as Fashion Access, Asia's largest trade fair for handbags, footwear, travelware, fur and leather garments, and fashion accessories. Prime Source Forum, an event fast establishing itself as the annual meeting place for the global apparel industry, runs concurrently with both APLF - MM&T and Fashion Access.
APLF - MM&T welcomed 21,782 visitors from 105 countries and regions in 2007. The high attendance reaffirms the status of the fair in the industry.
