Francal kicks off the main business season of the segment in Brazil
Accounting for a significant volume of businesses among Brazilian manufacturers and the internal and external markets, the fair brings innovative actions to boost visits by national and foreign buyers.
Brazil experiences hot weather most part of the year, and Spring-Summer is the most profitable season for the footwear and fashion accessories industry activities. Based on Abicalçados’ estimate, the season accounts for 60% of the annual manufacturers’ sales. For the retail industry, comprehensive and dynamic collections and their thousands new developments placed into the market every month bring diversification to window displays on a regular basis and extend sales for up to nine months.
FRANCAL – International Shoe and Accessories Fashion Fair is the official Brazilian event for Spring-Summer collections and accounts for a significant volume of businesses of the segment production chain. The fair continuously increases sales of the national footwear and fashion accessories industry and retailers in the second half-year, promoting businesses with the foreign market and leveraging exportations from Brazil. Traditionally, almost 40 thousand shop owners from Brazil and over one thousand international buyers of next to 70 countries visit the fair, moved by the quality and design of the Brazilian Summer fashion and all its diversity of colors, materials, and textures.
In 2015, FRANCAL will hold the 47th edition of the event from July 6 to 9, which will take place in a total area of 82 thousand sqm, i.e., the whole Anhembi’s exhibition complex in São Paulo. The area will be populated by over 800 national manufacturers of men’s, women’s, kids’, and sports shoes, bags, backpacks, belts, wallets and suitcases, jewelry, and other fashion accessories for four days to release the great new developments for the Summer.

Innovations
In order to keep supporting the sector development, increase the generation of businesses in the internal market, and enhance the external one, FRANCAL has been implementing a series of actions focused on boosting visits by shop owners and importers, mainly from Latin America.
Francal Fashion & Marketing Forum: Focused on the footwear and accessories retail industry, the forum brings together experts to present important topics for the daily routine at shops, such as fashion, management, marketing, and economy. Names like Walter Rodrigues, stylist and coordinator at Assintecal’s Design Center, Luiza Trajano, businesswoman and chairwoman of Magazine Luiza’s chain have already confirmed their presence. This year, Francal Fashion & Marketing Forum will be held in the Praça de Eventos [Live Site], inside the hall, throughout the three days of fair (6, 7, and 8), always at 9 AM.
2016 Summer Exhibition: Presents to shop owners and other professionals visiting the fair the themes, inspirations, concepts, color palettes, and modeling that will be on the spot in the season, in addition to visual merchandising information and services the point of sale. The production and execution were held by fashion and design experts from Instituto By Brasil of Assintecal (Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear, and Manufactured Goods).
Praça de Eventos: A new space in the fair it is free for use by exhibitors promoting relationship actions with their customers. With a modular infrastructure, the place features the official fair scheduled events, such as the opening ceremony, press conferences Francal Fashion & Marketing Forum, among others, as well as actions by exhibitors.
Exporta Francal Network: This program aims at expanding the presence of foreign buyers in the fair, strengthening business relationships with various countries, and increasing exportation in the sector.
New Jewelry Saloon: One of FRANCAL’s most traditional and visited spaces comes back with a new face this edition: bigger, with a bold look, and with a sophisticated concept.
