The international Exhibition, which was held from 22 to 24 September at Fiera Milano Rho, aims to be a driving force for the recovery of the whole industry, thanks to the presence of international manufacturers of the best innovative technologies for manufacturing, automotive and fashion sectors.
The 2021 edition of the international exhibition of machines and technologies for the footwear, leather goods and tanning industries, SIMAC TANNING TECH, ended on Friday 24 September at Fiera Milano Rho.
An edition “proud” of having marked the restart of the manufacturing sector for the suppliers of technologies for the fashion industry.
Exhibitors and visitors confirmed that the 2021 edition was "beyond expectations". Thanks to the digital support system for the Fair, done through the dedicated APP, the number of accreditations was just under 5,000 users and buyers in presence and online, of which 1/3 foreigners, from 50 countries.
The opening ceremony was enriched by the precious intervention of the President of Simac Tanning Tech and Assomac (the Italian Association of technologies for footwear, leathergoods and tannery) Maria Vittoria Brustia; the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Manlio Di Stefano, the Councilor for Economic Development of the Lombardy Region, Guido Guidesi, and the President of the ITA Agency, Carlo Maria Ferro.
"The event numbers and the feed-back collected during the three days of Exhibition made us aware about how important it was to be present at the SIMAC TANNING TECH 2021 edition. Visitors came to see the innovative solutions proposed and to ask for more technical information about the latest technologies related to automation and digitization, safety and the improvement of environmental performance. "
The Organizational Secretariat of SIMAC TANNING TECH boosted lot of energy in the implementation, for the benefit of both visitors and exhibitors, of the "Simac Tanning Tech 2021" APP, which recorded excellent use, with more than 33,000 messages exchanged for requests for information and contacts between buyers and exhibitors and a total of 28,000 pages viewed on the APP.
The uncertainties and restrictions due to the Pandemic situation resulted in limitation for the usual presence of buyers from some Countries (especially Southeast Asia), but the Exhibition has not denied its international standing, thanks also to the participation of the Technological and Research Centers, speakers in the showcase event “Assomac TALKS”. The top executives of ten international Technology Centers and Innovation Hubs participated in three "Digital Round Tables", bringing their contribution and demonstrating the need for a networking platform to share and discuss about the latest technological innovations, such as Simac Tanning Tech could be.
ASSOMAC moved straight forwards on the commitment to sustainability, increasing its "ASSOMAC Forest": a project born in the 2020 edition of Simac Tanning Tech and which currently has 700 plants in a forest in Madagascar, through the project developed with Treedom.
The plants were donated to the partners of Assomac, an action to compensate for CO2 emissions in favor of the sustainability of the sector in which ASSOMAC operates.
The new appointment of Simac Tanning Tech is renewed for September 2022.
