The company, founded in 1995, is concerned with manufacture of ladies' and men's outdoor and house shoes (slippers) featuring improved health characteristics. Apart from the production the company sells men's outdoor summer, winter and all-season footwear made of leather. The company's annual output accounts for about 25,000 pairs of own shoes and approximately 10,000 pairs are bought and resold.

Prabos at Slavicin ranks among the traditional manufacturers of trekking, working, safety, military and special boots. Its history dates back to the year 1860. Following the Word War I., the shoe production was started at the then firm JAPIS founded by Mr. Pivecka. In 1948, the company was included into the giant enterprise of SVIT. Gradually, the manufacture of leathers was stopped and the buildings were reconstructed to accommodate only shoe manufacture oriented almost exclusively to production of work and military boots.

The company's present name, PRABOS Slavicin, has been used since 1991. Besides traditional men's protective and military boots, in which the company has years of experience, the product line offered has been  broadened by a wide range of man's robust (massive) walking shoes. An integral part of the product line is also classical footwear intended primarily for customers abroad, for instance typical English models, which enrich the domestic product range. The company's annual output is about 600 thousand pairs of shoes.

This year, the firm celebrated the fifth anniversary of the company foundation. An overwhelming part of the company's activities concentrates on health care - rehabilitation - not only in therapeutical but also in preventive care. Sarema works together with physicians from all fields concerned with locomoter system. Several company's programmes are covered by grants and financed by foundations. Sarema has concluded contracts with all health insurance companies. An integral part of rehabilitation is care of feet. Based on a planogram examination the company orders also manufacture of orthopaedic supports for children, adults, diabetics and sportsmen. The critical situation in the Czech Republic's market as regards healthy footwear has made the company to pay to this matter a greater attention. A shop for predominantly children's footwear of the smallest sizes up to size 43 was built directly in the rehabilitation facility. The company's principle is to sell certified high quality Czech footwear only.

The company's activities include: - rehabilitation - both therapeutical and preventive employing Chinese medicine, hydrotherapy   (water cure)  - sale of therapeutical aids (gymnastic balls, overballs, etc.) - preventive exercising at nursery schools - sauna taking - manufacture of orthopaedic supports to order - consultancy on healthy shoe-wearing - sale of healthy footwear for both children and adults - health-promoting stays for nursery and primary school children - operation of a medical consulting room for FC Slovan Liberec and all sports clubs in Liberec region.

The company was founded in 2000. It concentrates on activities in the footwear field. The company's major business is purchase of footwear for the purpose of its subsequent deliveries to certain target groups. The main product lines are ladies' and men's summer, winter and all-season outdoor exclusive shoes. A priority is given to footwear made from quality cattle, calf as well as goat natural leathers. The footwear offered is always of interesting designs on heels of various shapes. A strong point of the shoes offered is also good workmanship and quality materials assuring pleasant wearing. The company uses the following trademarks for presentation of its products: - the men's footwear is presented under the "RICCARDO" trademark  - the ladies' shoes are presented under the "MACCIONI" trademark.
