Assocalzaturifici and EMI are launching two events in CIS countries: “La Moda Italiana@Almaty” in Kazakhstan, March 5 through 7, and “La Moda Italiana@Kiev” in Ukraine, March 11 and 12. The two events are based on the successful formula of “Shoes from Italy”, a footwear event Assocalzaturifici organised in Kazakhstan and Ukraine for more than a decade, expanded to include the entire fashion industry and present the retail market with a single event offering an all-Italian “total look”. The support of ITA Agency with promotion of the initiative among footwear dealers and the practical assistance of ITA Almaty and ITA Kiev in on-site organisation complete the infrastructure of this important event for the fashion industry
“The starting conditions for the new ordering season – specifically the increases in excise duties and import regulations – weren’t exactly encouraging in the run-up to CPM. But as expected, Russia’s passion for fashion continues unabated. The quality of the visitors was once again extremely high: with packed halls and satisfied exhibitors, CPM remains the No. 1 ordering platform. Leading the way among the European exhibitors, for example, was Spain, which had a significant increase in its number of exhibitors. And of course also Italy, Germany and Turkey, the strong nations at CPM, also impressed retailers with their top sellers. There was also a buoyant mood among Russian brands, which are performing well domestically and going from strength to strength on the export market. All in all, there is a positive atmosphere, which is built on the foundations of stability and continuity. The Russian market has succeeded in retaining its appeal and is constantly reasserting its huge potential.”
Satisfaction rules among the 322 exhibitors
SIMAC TANNING TECH 2019 ended against the prevailing trend of the current international economic context. The large visitor turnout matched the record levels of February 2018, before the signs of the slowdown that characterised the second half of last year started to appear. And all had very clear ideas on the machinery and technology they wanted to see.
