Am 10. Juli trafen sich die cads Mitglieder zu einer Informationsveranstaltung im ISC Pirmasens. Die Resonanz auf diese in regelmäßigen Abständen durchgeführte Veranstaltung übertraf die Erwartungen des cads Vorstands. Fast 90 Teilnehmer kamen in die Pfalz, um sich über die Arbeit von cads und die neuesten Entwicklungen und Ergebnisse der cads Arbeitsgruppen zu informieren. Der cads Vorsitzende Michael Tackenberg freut sich über das große Interesse: „Dass wir so zahlreich sind, spiegelt nicht nur das Interesse, sondern vor allem auch den Zusammenhalt der cads Gruppe wider.“ Nicht zuletzt zeigt die positive Resonanz aber auch, wie wichtig die Institution cads und damit verbunden die Vermeidung von Schadstoffen sowie die Themen Nachhaltigkeit, Umwelt und Soziale Standards für die Schuh- und Lederwarenbranche sind.

The project partners of the European funded project “Skills4Smart TCLF Industries 2030 Blueprint” have successfully started to brainstorm with Vocational Education and Training providers in Europe on upgrading certain of the TCLF occupations and respective training programmes. Focus Group sessions have been organised in Paris and Milan to weigh in with a variety of perspectives regarding the latest skills needs in the TCLF industries. These Focus Groups are part of the across-the-board approach on which the project is based, an approach that understands that skills mismatches can only be tackled if industry and education stakeholders work together.
