SIMAC TANNING TECH 2021, “Back to the Fair” beyond expectations

The international Exhibition, which was held from 22 to 24 September at Fiera Milano Rho, aims to be a driving force for the recovery of the whole industry, thanks to the presence of international manufacturers of the best innovative technologies for manufacturing, automotive and fashion sectors. The 2021 edition of the international exhibition of machines and technologies for the footwear, leather goods and tanning industries, SIMAC TANNING TECH, ended on Friday 24 September at Fiera Milano Rho. An edition “proud” of having marked the restart of the manufacturing sector for the suppliers of technologies for the fashion industry. Exhibitors and visitors confirmed that the 2021 edition was "beyond expectations". Thanks to the digital support system for the Fair, done through the dedicated APP, the number of accreditations was just under 5,000 users and buyers in presence and online, of which 1/3 foreigners, from 50 countries.

DIGITAL LEARNING, A TURNING POINT FOR TEXTILE, CLOTHING, LEATHER, AND FOOTWEAR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROVISION IN EUROPE? On the occasion of the 2021 Erasmus Days, the Erasmus+ Skills4Smart TCLF industries 2030 Blueprint project consortium organised a conference dedicated to digital learning in Textile, Clothing, Leather, and Footwear (TCLF) Vocational Education and Training (VET). Gianluca Coppola from the European Digital Learning alliance (Dlearn) kicked off the conference with research findings identifying trends, ideas, and needs concerning digital skills and tools. S4TCLF project partners then offered the audience a glimpse into the newly-developed S4TCLF Academy, an online platform containing more than 50 digital lessons developed by European experts for 8 of the most sought-after TCLF occupations, along with the extremely positive feedback it received from students and teachers who participated in the pilots.

Servirá a modo de soporte para las empresas de múltiples sectores que necesiten testar prototipos virtualmente y sin llegar a fabricarlos en grandes cantidades Digital FabLab”, así se denomina el nuevo proyecto europeo en el que el Centro Tecnológico del Calzado de La Rioja, CTCR, participa junto a un amplio consorcio de socios y en el marco del programa Erasmus+. El objetivo principal que se pretende conseguir es transformar y modernizar los actuales FabLab, Laboratorios de Fabricación, que son aquellas pequeñas instalaciones físicas en las que se realizan tiradas de producción experimentales o en las que se aplican nuevas técnicas para validar su eficacia y luego trasladar a líneas de producción clásicas. Para ello, es decir, para que las empresas puedan materializar sus ideas de manera interactiva, se desarrollará una herramienta mediante técnicas de inclusión digital; Realidad Aumentada, Mixta o Virtual.

Scholars and companies of the European footwear sector gathered on the 9th of December 2021 to mark the end of the Erasmus+ SciLED project “Footwear in the 21st century” during a final event that showcased the project's many achievements. As one of the leading research efforts in footwear manufacturing in Europe, the SciLED consortium has produced interactive digital training tools and up-to-date and versatile training modules to complement and enrich Higher Education programmes in footwear comfort performance, design engineering, and sustainability. It has also launched a Knowledge Alliance comprised of European Higher Education institutions, companies and research centres, which will continue to research and innovate in this field. Meanwhile, the material developed by SciLED addressed to Footwear designers and Product Managers is expected to become a fixture of many European footwear programmes.

Schuhindustrie und IG BCE erzielen Tarifabschluss

Nach mehrstündigen, intensiven Verhandlungen wurde in der zweiten Tarifrunde zwischen der Gewerkschaft IG BCE und dem Bundesverband der Schuh- und Lederwarenindustrie, Tarifgemeinschaft Schuhe, ein Tarifabschluss erzielt. Das am Abend des 13. Januar in Offenbach beschlossene Verhandlungsergebnis sieht vor, dass die Tarifentgelte in der Schuhindustrie ab dem 1. Juni 2022 um 2% erhöht werden. Die Laufzeit dieser Vereinbarung gilt bis zum 31. Juli 2023. Die Vergütungen für Auszubildende werden bundeseinheitlich ab 1. Juni 2022 wie folgt festgelegt: 1. Ausbildungsjahr: 900 Euro, 2.Ausbildungsjahr: 920 Euro, 3. Ausbildungsjahr: 1.010 Euro.
